This is actually a remake of the first BENJAMYN song.

I was processing a lot of grief in my early twenties after losing someone very very special.

I remember spending a summer travelling with friends and feeling like a new person when I came back. One of the first days back home, I thought about how different I felt in comparison to how I used to feel in the years prior to leaving. I was silently carrying a lot of pain and always felt like I was just about hanging in there. In that moment I frantically grabbed pen and paper and wrote this song in like 5 mins.

Those lyrics were recorded and rearranged together with a beat I made a year or two later, which became the first ever release for this project. I knew it had to be on the album, so I re-recorded it and amped up the production a bit.
